Twelve Bromley borough restaurants, from Michelin-listed Chapter One to Chislehurst's seafood rooms, with menu prices, hours and hygiene ratings checked.

Most people searching for a good meal in Bromley borough land on Chapter One at Locksbottom, the restaurant the Michelin Guide lists here; Indian Essence in Petts Wood, run under chef Atul Kochhar’s name; iNaga in West Wickham, an Asian Curry Awards winner; and Chislehurst’s cluster of Fish Union, Bank House and Cinnamon Culture. Every entry was checked against the restaurant’s own site on 26 October 2026.

We have not eaten at these restaurants for this guide, and nothing here is a review. Each entry sets out what the restaurant publishes: what it says it does, prices from its menu, its opening hours and its booking rules. Awards are named only where we could find them on the public record, and hygiene ratings come from the Food Standards Agency (FSA). Menus change, so treat prices as a guide.

How we chose

These are the restaurants people search for in Bromley borough, chosen on the public record rather than on taste: the Michelin Guide, published awards, how long a place has been trading, and the FSA hygiene rating. Every restaurant here is rated 5. We left out places we could not check against a working website of their own on the day. That ruled out, for now, Copper Ceylon on East Street, which won Best Restaurant (London Suburbs) at the British Curry Awards 2022 but whose web address now shows unrelated content, and Havet on the High Street. Tamasha on Widmore Road says it is taking a short pause after 34 years, and Kaizen in The Glades has been wound up. Prices and hours are as published on 26 October 2026, so check before you set off, especially around Christmas.
