Bromley Online is published independently of the council, the developers and everybody else who turns up in these pages. It covers the whole borough: Bromley town, Beckenham, Penge, Orpington, Chislehurst, West Wickham and Biggin Hill, along with Hayes, Keston, Shortlands, Bickley, Sundridge Park, Elmers End, Anerley, Mottingham, Petts Wood and the Crays.
What we do
Two jobs, done properly. One is to keep track of what the borough is actually deciding, which mostly means reading documents nobody else is going to read. The other is to keep the pages people search for accurate, because a bin date or a parking rule that is out of date is worse than no page at all.
Where it comes from
The council’s committee papers, its planning register, police.uk crime data, Food Standards Agency ratings, The Gazette and official alerts. Each fact links back to the record it came from, so nothing here rests on our say so. If a document is unclear we report it as unclear. We are independent of the council and of everybody else we write about.
