Vue Bromley, Odeon Beckenham and Odeon Orpington are all in National Cinema Weekend on 5 and 6 September. Any film, any seat, £4, at more than 500 UK cinemas.

Cinema tickets are £4 across the borough this Saturday and Sunday, 5 and 6 September. Three cinemas in Bromley borough are taking part in National Cinema Weekend, according to the scheme’s own list of participating cinemas:

  • Vue Bromley, 6 St Mark’s Square, BR2 9UY
  • Odeon Beckenham, 292 High Street, BR3 1DY
  • Odeon Orpington, Unit 40A, The Walnuts, BR6 0TW

Vue confirms the offer on its own Bromley page: “National Cinema Weekend 5-6 September. All Films, All Seats, £4 All Weekend.”

What the £4 does and does not cover

The organisers’ terms are short. “On 5 & 6 September 2026, participating cinemas across the UK will be offering tickets at just £4,” their FAQ says. “Pick any film, in any format, any seat, at any participating cinema, and go.”

Two caveats are worth reading before you set out:

  • The £4 is described on the scheme’s own site as an advised price that “may vary at a small number of cinemas”.
  • It applies at participating cinemas only, and more than 500 are signed up nationally.

The scheme does not sell tickets. Its site sends you to each cinema’s own booking page, and it warns that “cinemas schedule their programmes on an individual basis, so always check the details before booking and visiting”.

Other participating cinemas within reach

If nothing at the three borough cinemas appeals, the nearest others on the list are:

  • Vue Eltham, 174 Eltham High Street, SE9 1BJ, about four miles from Bromley town centre
  • The Castle Cinema, 106 High Street, Sidcup, DA14 6DS, about four miles
  • Greenwich Picturehouse, SE10 8NN, about five miles
  • East Dulwich Picturehouse, SE22 8HD, about five miles

Distances are straight line from Bromley town centre, not driving distance.

What it means for you

  • Book through the cinema, not through the scheme’s website. It handles no payments and takes no bookings.
  • Check the format you want is running. The offer covers any format the cinema is showing that weekend, but each cinema sets its own programme, and Vue’s own listings page notes it updates the schedule every Tuesday for the following week.
  • £4 is the ticket, not the trip. Booking fees, 3D glasses charges and parking are set by each venue and are not part of the offer.
  • It is two days only, Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September. There is no extension published.
